Dr. Lawrence W. Moore of The Wayfarer Project has been a practitioner of meditation, a sleep explorer, and an appreciator of achieving states of heightened relaxation for over 30 years. Much of his music reflects this. Now, in the first quarter of the 21st century is more important than ever for people to find peaceful states of consciousness, enjoy good sleep, and reap the benefits of meditation. Moore is now turning his sound synthesis and sound design talents toward this end. this overall project aims to achieve the development of great sound experiences for relaxation, meditation, and sleep. Listeners are invited to provide feedback to help develop these sound experiences and so that Moore can increase their effectiveness. While the same sound programs may not be as effective for each individual person, the feedback helps to develop more of a variety of experiences so that more and more people can enjoy the benefits.

Sound Design for Relaxation, Meditation, and Sleep

This is a companion series for Sound Experiments for Relaxation, Meditation, and Sleep. In this series, Dr. Lawrence W. Moore shows and demonstrates some of the sound techniques he uses in his sound experiences. People are invited to provide feedback as they learn what different elements are called and what the different techniques sound like in the sound experiences. The series also helps people to learn how to produce their own sound experiences.

Experimental Sound Experiences for Relaxation, Meditation, and Sleep

This is a series of experimental sound experiences created by Dr. Lawrence W. Moore for listeners to experience and provide feedback. Each experience uses different techniques and varying time intervals for those techniques to be employed. The overall experiences also vary in length. Listeners are encouraged to provide feedback in the comment section for each video to help Dr. Moore improve these experiences. Likewise, this feedback can lead to customization of experiences to serve more people since different people may respond better to different techniques. Some of the techniques employed are ocean wave sounds, binaural beating, synthesized ASMR prickles, ambient music, and uplifting harmonics. Some experiences use visuals for ambient lighting and some provide a black screen for those who prefer it.

Nature Meditations

Lawrence W. Moore enjoy doing field recordings to capture the beautiful sounds that nature can produce. Many of these recordings are from rural North Florida, where Moore now resides. The creatures of nature and the sound of her movements compose the song of the Earth.
